Nation, 33, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Nation, Route 3, Murphy, and other members of the 109th Transportation Company participated in Ex ercise YELLOW WEDGE, a 4th Armored Division field training maneuver , near Bam berg, Germany, in early Dec ember. In addition to testing the combat readiness of the 4th Armored and various units of the VII Corps which par tic lapted in the exercise, problems at communication and security involved in the large-scale troop movements were studied. Specialist Nation, a truck lriver in the company near Ludwigsburg, entered the krmy in October 1959, and irrived overseas in March, I960. He attended Murphy High School and was employed at lughes Esse Service Station tefore entering the Army. His rife, Wally, is with him in Germany. Phillips Qualifies U. S.
