The Rev. J. Omer Jones performed the ceremony in the Virginia Avenue Baptist nrdl in Atlanta. The bride wore a street length dress of white chan tllly lace over satin. Mrs. Davis is a graduate of Hayesvllle High School and is employed at the First National Bank in Atlanta. Mr. Davis attended Fannin County High School. Hinton Center Directors Hold Annual Meeting HAYESVILLE - The Board of Directors of Hint on Cen- i ter held their annual meet ing Friday night and Satur day. The Friday evening ses sion started with a supper. Miss Betty Jo Swalm, a mem ber of the local MYF gave the devotional. The Rev. Grady Burgin of Hayesville First Methodist Church welcomed the group. An hour of fellow ship and singing followed. The Executive Board then met for a short session. Dr. Horace McSwain, Exe cutive Secretary of the Board of Missions of States ville, presided at the Saturday con ference. The Rev. Joe Law, the Rev. Grady Burgin, Miss Laura Wells of Hayesville and Miss Jennie YoungbiooJ of Hayesville and Nashville, Tenn. gave a panel discus sion on the recent music school held at Hinton Cen ter and the Laboratory Work shop on Church Membership. They told the group this was a pilot workshop where 9 children and 15 ministers and leaders were involved. Visiting ministers expres sed the possibilities of send ing seminary students to Hinton Center for similar workshops. They felt the actual contact with children would be good In service train ing for young ministers. The Rev. Harold McSwain of Emory University, Atlanta, has been appointed part time director at Hinton Center while he Is finishing his doctorate at Emory. He will assume this position June L Heart Fund Chairmen Thank Contributors HAYESVILLE - The Heart Association this week thanked all the citizens of Clay County for generous contributions to the fund raising effort this year. The total amount reported for the 1964 Drive was $393.89. Mrs. Newell Crisp and Mrs. Arthur Murray, co - chairmen of the Clay County Heart Fund Association, also thanked all the volunteers who gave their time to make the drive a success. Shower Given For Mrs. Davis HAYESVILLE -Mrs. Wayne Hogsed, Mrs. David Burch and Mrs. Frank Hogsed hon ored Mrs. Carolyn Davis with a shower at the home of Mrs. B. T. Maney last Saturday night. The table was overlaid with a white lace cloth. Arrange ments of roses and other flow ers were used as decorations. The punch bowl was surround ed by greenery and flowers.
