She was the wife of John E. Posey of Rt. 2, and was active in the work of Shady Grove Methodist Church, the johnathan Creek Home Dem onstration Club, of which she was a past president; the N. C. Choralist Group and the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Posey was born in Andrews. Her father, the late B. L. Padgett, longtime Cherokee County Register of Deeds, and she and her hus band lived in Murphy for many years. He is a Souther Bell Telephone Co., employe* who was transferred to Waynes ville when Murphy service was changed. New Riding Club At Blue Ridge Holds Meeting BLUE RIDGE, GA. - The second meeting of the neewly formed Blue Ridge Mountain Riding Club was held Monday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the Loving Community Building.
