MASSE Y ROBBINSVILLE " Dennis Alexandra Massey, 68, who served in the House of Rep resentatives from Graham Co. during 1949-50 session of the General Assemby, died un expectedly Sunday, June 7. A native of Haywood County, he was born at Cove Creek, son of Princess Vaughn and Lucinda Owens Massey. He attended Waynesville High School, and came to Graham County some 30 years ago. A barber and an ordained minister, he once served as WILLIAM HENSON MURPHY - William Carl Henson, TO, of Culberson,Rt. 2, died Tuesday, June 2, at his home after a brief ill ness. He was a native of Chero kee County, a son of Bill and Martha Elrod Henson. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church, where he had been a deacon for over 25 years. Surviving is the widow, Mrs. Ollie Hawkins Henson; two daughters, Mrs. Stella Ware of Blue Ridge, Ga., and Mrs. Ruby Wareofcluberson; six sons, Edgar, Fred, Clyde and W. C. Henson, Jr., all of Wayne, Mich., Homer of Jack son, S. C., and Alvin Henson of Flint, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Annie Harris of Shelbyville, Tenn., a brother, E. J. Hen son of Dal too, Ga.; 33 grand children, 16 great-grand - children, and one great great-grandchild. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Liberty Baptist Church. The Rev. Arvil Johnion and the Rev. Luther White offi ciated and burial waa in the church cemetery. Townson Funeral Home was In charge. pastor of Long Creek Baptist Church. A former deacon and treasurer of the RobbinsvUle Missionary Baptist Church, he was a deacon in New Hope Bap tist Church here at the time of his death. Surviving are the widow, the former Miss Arlene Slaughter; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Owen and Mrs. Ray Wiggins of RobbinsvlUei and a son, Glenn, of Man chester, Tenn. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church. The Rev. Edward G. Altland officiated and burial was in Old Mother Cemetery. Townson Funeral Home was in charge.
