This corn U being made available at a reduced price fro purchase by farmers who do not have adequate feed sty ply due to the adverse wea ther conditions which have prevailed throughout the 1964 crop year. Any owner of dairy and/ or beef cattle, sheep, hogs or work stock, who does not have adequate feed supply, d may apply at the ASCS office I to purchase this corn. * Clay Milling Company and Wells Mobile Milling have been approved by the county committee to handle this corn. ' The grain may be purchased as shelled corn or ground * and mixed, as desired. Interested livestock owners * should visit the office for fur- _ ther information and to file their applications. Mrs. Davis is the former Miss Carolyn Davenport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Davenport. Mrs. Moore is die former Miss Dot Matheson of Hayes ville. The baby was born on it's grandmother's, Mrs. Luther Matheson' s, 76th birthday. -CC Dr. L. R. Staton had sur gery in Hall County Hospital, Gainesville, last week, and is doing well. Leading from the door deco ration, the house featured "symbols of Christmas". Un usual ideas created by the hostess were displayed in every room. The serving table was over laid with a green cloth with crystal appointments and green candles. Minnie Lexie Ivie presided at the punch bowl. Grier Ivie was in charge of gift exchanges among the group. He was assisted by Carl Enloe. AND MRS. ABEL PALMER celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary, December 13 at an open house in their home on Route 3, Murphy. Friends and relatives called from 2 to 4 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Palmer were married in 1908. Mrs. Palmer is the former Miss Pearl McDonald. Neither Mr. Palmer nor his wife have ever lived anywhere but in Chero kee County. They are the parents of three daughters and one son: Mrs. Wade Lovingood, Mrs. Fred Amos, Mrs. Virgil Kephart and Wayne Palmer, all of Route 3, Murphy.
