The guests were invited into the
timing room where a delicious three
course dinner was served by the
hqstess’ sister Mrs. Harry Jackson.
After the dinner the guests return
ed to the living room where several
games of hearts were played. All
of the guests reported having a
delightful time.

dancing class on Wednesday after
noon. at 3:30 at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. G. C. Hunter on North Main
Street
The decorations were in keeping

A beautiful decorated Christmas
tree was seen as the guests arrived.
Several games and contests were
played. Miss Betty Gay Masten re
cevied a lovely gift for the winner.
The hostess then gave each guest a
Christmas favor as a parting gift.

Hester-Crumpton
A marriage of much interest in
North Carolina was solemized at the
home of Rev. A. S. Barnes on Fri
day, December 25, 1936, when Miss
Eula Hester of Raleigh, became the
bride of Mr. D. H. Crumpton of
Danville, Va.
The bride is the daughter of the
late B. F. Hester. She received her
education from North Carolina Col
lege for Women and Duke Universi
ty. For the past several years she
has been a member of the faculty
ui the Methtadist Orphanage School.
Mr. Crumpton is the son of Mr.
R. W. Crumpton. He is a graduate
of Duke University. For the pajst
several years he has been principal
of schools in Caswell County.
