ter of the late A. R. Cash and Sarah
Bumpass Cash, wife of the late J. J.
Cozart died Friday, Feb. 12th. After
the death of her husband she had
made her home with her brother,
S. L. Cash, of Durham.
Surviving are four brothers, A. M.
Cash and J. W. Cash, of Oxford,
S. L. Cash, of Durham, and D. M.
Cash, of Rougemont, one sister,
Mrs. D. C. Moore, of Durham.
Funeral services were held by
Rev. Charles F. Hudson on Satur
day, Feb. 13th.
Pall bearers were: Robert Nic
hols, Henry Bennett, Alex Byrd,
C. H. Wells, Will Wilkins, and Roy
Daniels. The floral bearers were
the nieces and friends.
Interment was held at the Bet
hany Baptist Church Cemetery,
Saturday Feb. 13 at 2:00 o’clock.

Miss Allie Woody, 80, sister of
the late E. D. Woody, died at a
Durham hospital Monday night at
9:30 o’clock. A complication of di
seases due to old age was the cause
of her death.
Miss Woody was born and rear
ed in Person county, daughter of
the late' John Woody and Mary
Dixon Woody. She was the last)
member of her immediate family.
Several nieces and nephews and
other relatives survive through the
state. For a number of years she
was a member of the Temple Bap
tist Church of Durham.
Rev. John T. Wayland, pastor of
Temple Baptist church, conducted
the services. Interment was in the
old section of Maplewood Cemetery.
Pall bearers were nephews of the
deseased and floral bearers were
her great-nieces.

Woodsdale, Rt. I, died February 16,
about 4:00 o’clock P. M. Death was
caused by pneumonia. He was taken
ill last Monday evening, February
5 and a doctor was summoned im
mediately, but his condition gra
dually became weaker and death
