Gentry and Reade Gentry are spending today in Weldon fishing. C. W. Holeman spent several hours in Oxford Wednesday visit ing friends. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Swartz and son and Maxie Daniel and son. spent the weekend in Roanoke, Va., with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Hall and Lawrence Hall spent Sunday in Roanoke, Va. Miss Louise Dilrkens, student at W. C. U. N. C., spent the past weekend here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Dickens. Miss Mary Ruth Long, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Long, had the misfortune to fall and break her arm Sunday evening. E. Malorie, who entertained the members oi her club and several special guests. The game was played at three tables, with club high score go ing tio Miss Velma Beam and visi tor’s award 1 to Miss Claire Harris. For refreshments Mrs. Malone served strawberry shortcake and punch.
