larger employment in the future,
the 536 employers included in the
suivey indicated that they would
need eight percent more workers
than the 247,137 employed on No-,
vember 15, or about 20,000 more
than they now have.
The military pipeline system
completed in Europe has a capac
ity of 150,000 barrels of gasoline
daily, delivered through 3,446
miles of pipe.
At the end of 1944 there were
approximately 411,000 producing
oil wells in the United States, or
about twice as many as at the end
of 1918. i
