Dorothy Sandefer, new student body president, conducted the pro gram. Elizabeth Harkey and Marybeth Rea were accompanists. The Dreamers, an organization of sophmore college vocalist, sang three selections. Six songs were enjoyed as audience participa tions. The following talks were given: “The Adams Music Build ing,” Mrs. Armistead; “The Music Department’s Great Need,” Miss Lord; “My Dream for Montreat College,” Dr. Anderson; “A Sym bol of the Human Spirit,” Mrs. White; “What Am I Offered?” Mrs. Randal; “Your Support Is Needed?” Joan Rodrian; and 5 “Name The Place,” Miss Hoyt. J In our estimation no more THE BLACK MOUNTAIN NEWS j worthy endeavor has been origin ated in Montreat. The need of the building is urgent and the nam ing of it most genuinely appro priate. The committee in charge of the campaign are: Mrs. J. Ken neth Pfohal, Winston-Salem, N. C., Mrs. G. N. Ennett, Montreat, Dr. Frank Howard Richardson, Black Mountain, Mrs. J. Murry, who has been at Assembly Inn for some months, is now moving into one of the Lord apartments and getting it in readiness by the first of May, when he expects his wife to re turn from overseas. She is an executive of the Red Cross. Mr- Murry, himself, was formerly Fed eral District Judge of Panama.
