Our cheerleaders have made an excellent showing this year and have worked hard to inspire the teams to victory. Mable Meeks, Joy Gouge, and Mabel Patton, accompanied by Mrs. McMurray went to Lee Ed wards High school last Thursday night to see “Twelfth Night” by Wm. Shakespeare. It was a pro duction of the Asheville commun ity Theater and presented the Rarter Players. Student now may take a drivers course. By the courtesy of the Ford Motor company, a new Ford car will be on hand for the beginners to use. Mr. Byron, head of the person nel department at the Clearwater Finishing company in Old Fort, spoke to the seniors last Wednes day, telling of types of jobs avail able in this field.
