attract academically gifted students
with demonstrated leadership potential
to ECU. Each award is worth
$3,000 per year.

Her full satin skirt fell from a
natural waistline to create a
cathedral length petal train trimmed
in Chantilly lace and flower and lace
rosettes.
She wore a cathedral length veil of
silk illusion trimmed in satin and at

carried an orchid bouquet attached
to her mother's Bible.
Miss Mary Wallace of Wilmington
attended the bride as maid of honor
and was a soloist during the
ceremony. Mrs. Emily Msbry of
Wilmington, Ms. Robin Presnell of
Wrightsville Beach, Mrs. Vicki
Sylvester of New Bern and Miss
Rosie Frisby of Asheville also attended
the bride. Mrs. Yvonne Bright and
Mrs. Pat Carroll of Iceland were
honorary matrons. The bridal attendants
wore full length dresses of
royal blue taffeta created by Mrs.
Allene Hansen, aunt of the bride.
Each gown featured a sweetheart
neckline, puff sieeves and lace cuffs.
The full-length skirt was edged with a
ruffled flounce and featured a fake
bustle and lace petticoat.

Following the ceremony a reception
was held in the church fellowship
hall. Afier a honeymoon in Florida,
the couple will reside in Wilmington.
Mrs. Coston is employed by New
nanover Memorial Hospital as a
registered nurse while the grooom is
employed in management at a local
Hill's/Parkers Food Store.
Parties
The bride-elect was given several
showers prior to the wedding.
Also, a rehearsal party given by
the groom's parents was held Friday
evening for members of the wedding
party.
