Five Brunswick County students
were named to the 198-1 fall semester
dean's list at the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill.
To make the dean's list a student
must earn a 3.2 gradepoint average
on a 4.0 scale while taking 15 or more
hours of coursework or a 3.5 average
while taking at least 12 hours, with no
grade below a C.
Earning dean's list honors were

sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
The new non-commissioned officer
is a personnel specialist at Bitburg
Air Base. West Germany, with the
36th Combat Support Group. He is a
1981 graduate of South Brunswick
High School.

To Roily Feb. 25
Brunswick County United
Methodist congregations will join
those across the Wilmington District
in a district conference plus lay,
youth and children's rally Monday,
Feb. 25, at Trinity United Methodist
Church in Wilmington.
The event begins at 3 p.m. with a
reception for Bishop Carlton P. Minnlck
Jr. and his wife, Mary Ann. The
bishop will be the featured speaker at
the conference, which begins at 4
p.m., and the lay rally, which begins
at 6:30 p.m. The I-ay Person of the
Year and the Outstanding Senior will
be recognized (luring this program.
Also beginning at 4 p.m. are a

Puppet Company of Southport and
the Agape inn Puppet Ministry of
