MM mm The South Brunswick Islands association, the youngest home builders group in North Carolina, was chartered in Houston, Texas during the National Association Board meeting in January. At the February meeting, Batchelor discussed the N.C. Home Builders' 1985 legislative program and goals, which include downzoning legislation, changes in licensing and sentic tank regulations. Royal 'Outstanding' A Whiteville man with Brunswick County ties has been named one of Five Outstanding Young Men by the North Carolina Jaycees. Honoree Fuller Royal is Scoutmaster of Troop 513, the state's largest with 65 members, a member of the Whiteville Rescue Squad and recruiter-clerk of the Whiteville City Schools Migrant Education Program. He is also an amateur filmmaker. Believed to be the first Whiteville resident named one of the Jaycee's special five, Royal is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenwood Royal of Whiteville and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Royal of Supply. Page 7-A Two Appointed As Chamber Reorganizes A uiicvrvui Ct operations and a director of marketing were appointed Friday by the South Brunswick Island Chamber of Commerce board of directors. The appointments were part of a reorganization of the chamber following resignation of Patrick Dowling recently as executive vice president. Karen musiiuuics ui Sunset Beach was named director of operations. She will be in charge of running the local chamber office. Chamber President Tripp Sloane, in announcing the appointments, said Mrs. Moshoures has vast avn?rion.-? in the cham!>er as a member and with staging of the annual beauty pageant and other Oyster Festival activities. Ann Marie Schettini, who moved to Sunset Beach from Detroit, Michigan, will be marketing director. Sloane and other board members are optimistic that the chamber will move forward at a more rapid pace "with such an outstanding team."
