Area residents were invited to help pick up trash in the boat ramp area at 1 p.m Wednesday and on N.C. 179 from Seaside to Shoreline drive today (Thursday) at 1 p.m. Utter bags v.'ere provided by the state. t All association members were urged also to clean up their own blocks. Planning for the communitywide clean-up was completed at the association's March 28 covered dish dinner at the Sunset Beach Fire House. Attending the meeting at the extension office were Jean and Ed Robinson, Alice and Russ Perkis. Edith and Jack Odgen, Alda and John Lewis, Virginia and Bud Godlove, Thelma and Bill Dun and Mrs. Russ. They reported contributing 276 hours of volunteer work with Dasher Memorial Hospital Volunteers, a sea grass stools workshop, extension advisory council meeting, arts and crafts show, area workshop at Whiteville and the Boiling Spring Iekes Fair. Member Bill Dunn reported on a 4-H workshop he attended at an Agricultural Advisory Council leadership meeting held at N.C. State University Feb. 26-27.
