Cheryl Anne Baddour of Laurinburg
and David Jeffrey Leonard of
Snallotte were married Saturday,
May 18, at 3:30 p.m. in St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Laurinburg.
Monsignor Murphy officiated the
double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Edmond F. Baddour of
Laurinburg. The groom is the son of
Mrs. Thelma Leonard of Shallotte
Point and the late Hubert L. Leonard.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore her mother's wedding
gown, fashioned of ivory candlelight
skinner satin in the directoire style.
Its bodice, with a low eathprpd
neckline, featured an inset of lace illusion
incrusted with seed pearls in a

veil was attached to a headpiece
adorned with antique tea roses accented
with pearls. The cathedrallength
veil of illusion was trimmed
with satin and lace appliques.
Her cascading bouquet of orchids,
stephanotis and Scotch mist,
streamers and mixed foliage was attached
to the mother of pearl prayer
book carried by the bride's mother at
her own wedding.

Mrs. Leonard graduated in 1983
from Pembroke State University
with a B.S. degree in special education.
She is employed by the East
I-aurinburg School System. Presently
attending Pembroke State University,
