Kelly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Baxley of Shallottc, received a certificate and book award for her score on the Test of Standard Written English, a portion of the ScholasticAptitude Test. The 917 students from 16 states invited to the awards ceremony Saturday obtained scores on one of three segments of the Scholastic Apiiiuue Test (SAT) equal to or better than those obtained by 85 percent of college bound high school seniors.
