Still Time Students may register through 8 p.m. Thursday, July 11, for courses in General Education Program at Brunswick Technical College, according to Les Turner, director Students who plan for a' four-year college degree should take a close look at the General Education Program. he said. According to Turner, most students who earn four-year degrees spend the first two years of wucgc in general siucues. Ihese courses, such as math, English, literature, fine arts, science and history, are available in the Genera! Educaion Program at Brunswick Tech. Students attending other col leges uui nome tor tne summer may also enroll, lie saiu. The General Education Program is designed to encourage students who otherwise would not tie attending college to pursue a degree while living at home. They also have an opportunity to take advantage of the low tuition charged by technical colleges. Brunswick Technical College has transfer agreements with over 25 senior institutions at which BTC students are guaranteed the transferability of academic credits earned in the General Education Program. This means that the General Education graduates can transfer to various four-year colleges and universities with the first two years of college studies behind them. For a tuition cost of $.KX> students can complete their associate degree in General Education. "Many students are taking advantage of the summer session while enjoying longer weekends. There are no Friday classes during the summer quarter," said Powell.
