Marine Fisheries Commission Thursday. August 15, at 9 a.m. at the Duke University Marine t.ab. Pivers Island, in Beaufort. Included in the proposed regulation changes is an amendment that would regulate responsibility for cleanup of fish spills to menhaden companies and consider other amendments on menhaden purse seine fishing such as fishing seasons, closed areas, size limits and management by proclamation. The amendment would also prohibit the use of purse seines on weekends during summer months, or in the vicinity of designated king mackerel tournaments.
