following an earlv-morning accident
in downtown Shallotte Saturday.
George l^slie Stanley, 21, was
charged with a safe movement violation
by Patrol Officer Nellie Evans.
Stanley was traveling north on U.S.
17 about 12:28 a.m. when he turned
left into the entrance of Hardee's
Restaurant, failing to see an
automobile approaching from the
south. He pulled across in front of the
car, a 1979 Plymouth operated by
Garry Lynn Gooden. of Route 2,
Elizabethtown, causing the Gooden
vehicle to strike his car in the side.
Gooden was transported to
Bruaswick Hospital in Supply with
nonincapacitating injuries.
Damages to the Gooden auto were

Brunswick County Sheriff's Department
during the week of Sept. 27-Oct.

William Miller of the Iceland area
reported larceny of several pieces of
expensive jewelry and a la rue quantity
of household Roods.
Peter Verdugl of the Inland area
reported larceny of a hunting knife,
cassette tapes, and a stereo. The
stereo was later located in Die woods.
Konald Eugene Broyles of the
N C. 74-76 area, reported larceny of a
1974 Kord Mustang, and records,
cash and clothing inside it.
Southeast Associates of the
Inland area reported larceny of two
chain saws and a tool box with
assorted tools.
Teresa Pierce of the I-eland area
reported larceny of a bicycle
Danny Hinson of the Shallotte
area reported larceny and property
damage. Money, credit cards,
assorted pictures and papers.

A man and a woman from the Oak
drove community were arrested Friday,
Oct. 4, on charges of possession
of manjuana with intent to sell and
deliver and possession of drug
paraphernalia
The charges were filed by Detective
David Crocker against KellyGordon
Adee, 19, and Alan Wayne
Jefferies. 28, both of Might landing
Crocker said the two were arrested
about 6:30 p.m. in conduction with a
search of their mobile home

Also, between 9 a.m. Monday, Sept.
30 and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, a
wheel and axles were stolen from
under a 1981 Connor Mobile Home
parked at Carter's Mobile Home
Park in Shallotte. Bobby J. Hooks of
South Carolina reported the loss the
following day. on Thursday afternoon.
The mobile home had been
repossessed Monday morning and
parked in the lot.

Shallotte area reported larceny in
May of a typewriter and several
household items with a total
estimated value of $207.87. A suspect,
Robert I>eonard, was arrested Oct. 3
on a charge of larceny and released
under u $200 appearance bond with
an Oct. 15 court date.

allegedly used "to plant, prepare,

Court on Nov. 18.
