Simpson, who works with cases of wife abuse and child molestaiion, told members a shelter is needed in southern Brunswick County. The Pilot Ciub, and other county organizations, will be working to establish a shelter. A new club community service project is "Adopt-A-Family." The club will be providing food and clothing for a senior citizen who lives alone. On Halloween night the club will assist at a party at Brunswick Village, a rest home in Shallotte. "Love gifts" are donations to newly chartered clubs from established clubs to launch community service projects. The club's internal affairs division has announced selling "love lights" will be its main fund-raising activity. The lights will cost $1 each, and they can be in memory or in honor of someone. The lights will be arranged on a tree in front of United Carolina Bank. They will be illuminated on Sunday, Dec. 8, and will burn throughout the 1985 holiday season.
