babies in a contest sponsored by the
Young Adult Missionary Department
of Big Macedonia Baptist Church in
Supply.
Three grand prize winners will be
named from each of three age
groups: 0 to 13 months; 13 months to
three years; and three to five years.
A parade featuring the babies and
their mothers will be held Sunday,
Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. following the worship
service.
Interested persons arc asked to

Missionary Alliance Fellowship
Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Ship's
Wheel Restaurant.
The restaurant is located on
Highway 17 approximately h mile
south of the South Carolina Welcome
Center (north of Utile River).
The fellowship meeting starts at 7
p.m., but arrive before 5:30 p.m. for
courtesy discount, according to
spokesperson Joyce Worrell of
Shallottc.
To Serve BBQ
Zion United Methodist Church in
Iceland will serve benefit barbecue
dinners with slaw, potato salad and
hushpuppies for $3 a plate Saturday,
Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. until sold out.
A white elephant sale will begin at
8 a.m. at the church.

Cutoff date to sign up for
Christmas baskets from the Home
Missions center is Friday, Nov. 22.
The Home Missions staff and
volunteers will check names to see
who is eligible to receive the baskets
of food and other items, said Ouida
lieweii, VAC coordinator.
Home Missions is a program of the
Brunswick County Volunteer and Informalion
Center (VAC), and they
operate the Christinas basket program
completely with donations and
volunteers.
Public school children and
Brunswick Technical College
students collect food and toys.
Several church and civic groups contribute
money, food, toys and other
items for the baskets.
Interested families or groups can
adopt a needy family for the
Christmas season. More information
is available by calling the VAC office
at 253-4441.
