Principal David R. Corley said students were recognized in three categories: service to their peers, service to the school and improved behavior. Receiving "Super Citizen" awards from Corley and Stanley for sen-ice to fellow students were David Ward, senior class president, who has worked with the administration in forming policies and class goals; Rhonda Hobbs, attendance office assistant to Ruth Johnson; Robert Bellamy, a junior active in the youth council and library club: and Diana Causey, a senior active in student government, library club and in the attendance office. Corley also recognized students who had rendered services to the school. Also at the assembly, the 35-member West Brunswick High I School Choir performed several holiday selections under the direction of I eAnne Smith, choral music director at West and at Waccamaw Elementary School. Selections included "Joy to the World," "Silent Night" sung a cappeila, and medley of songs called "Yule Tide Festival."
