alternative way to ring in the New
Year with a "safe and sober" New
Year's Kve celebration at the N.C.
baptist Assembly at Fort Caswell.
Sponsored by the Brotherhood
Department of the Southern Baptist
Convention, the celebration begins
Tuesda) afternoon, Dec. 31, and continues
into Jan. 1. said Cameron Norris
of Iteigelwood, state director of
homeland missions for the North
Carolina Baptist Men.
This is the second year a New
Year's Kve celebration has been held
at the assembly, which is located on
the eastern tip of Oak island.

but do not stay overnight; $6.50, buffet
dinner; $'1, midnight breakfast;
and $.'1.75, brunch.
lodging rates will vary depending
on the location. Space is available on
a first-come, first-serve basis. I.inens
will be furnished.
Norris stressed that all participants,
not just lodgers, should
pro-register so that gate personnel
will expect their arrival.
