Milligan was a veteran of World
War II. having served in the U.S. Ar
my as a military policeman. He served
with the Whiteville Police Department
from 1944 to 1947 and with the
N.C. Forest Sen-ice from 1947 to 1959.
Survivors include Margie L.
Milligan of the home: a daughter.
Pat Stanley of Nakina: three sons.
Jimmy Milligan of Ash, Roger
Milligan of New Bern and David
Milligan of Whiteville: two brothers.
Jesse Milligan of Columbia. S.C., and

3. 1920. he was the son of the late '
David N and Idella little Mintz. He <
served with the U.S. Army during '
World War U and retired in 1978 from
New Hanover County's employment
after 31 years of service. After his '
retirement he was employed byWaste
Management for five years. '
