OBJECTIVE: To^ establish on equitable system of obtaining

GUIDELINES:
(1) Applicants should submit Brunswick County Application
for Employment listing oil education, work experience and skills.
(2) Applications will remain active for three (3) months and
will be reviewed by Department Heads when filling voconcies.
After three months, application will be placed in inactive file ond
applicant must reapply with original application.
(3) Applicants that are placed in temporary positions must
reapply with original applicotion in order to be considered for
future openings.
(4) Department Heads may employ any applicant from the
field of applications provided opplicant chosen meets minimum
requirements estoblished for F>osition.
(5) In situations where applicant is placed in a permanent
position for a temporary appointment and permanent position
^comes vocont due to resignation or terminotion of permanent
incumbent, the Deportment Head will fill the vacancy in one of
two ways: (a) by advertising the position in accordance with
estoblished procedures, or (b) by employing the temporary person
into the permanent position. At this point, the employee would be
placed on probationary status and be subject to oil provisions set
forth in the Brunswick County Personnel Policy concerning
employment status.
(6) Typing tests shall be given when necessary. If application
is screened out by deportment heod to be interviewed, ar
rangements will be mode with opplicont to test typing skills. Typ
ing tests will be required when vacancy requires typing skills.
