DINapoli of Holden Beach have been appointed to the Brunswick Hospital Board of Trustees, according to Chairman Sam II. Edwards of Sliallottc. Holden, a county native and graduate of Methodist College, is owner of Alan Holden lloalty, presi dent of the South Brunswick islands Chamber of Commerce, chairman of tne Holden Beach Planning and Zon ing Board and a member of the Brunswick County Planning Board and a member of the board of North Carolina National Bank. Dr. Charles E. DiNapoli, who began his general surgery practice at the hospital in July 1984, now has an office in Shallotte. He holds a B.S. in biology from the University of Cin cinnati and a medical degree from the University of Bologna, Italy. He completed surgical internships in Valhallo, N.Y., and New Haven, Conn., where he was also chief surgical resident before moving to Brunswick County. Other hospital trustees are Percy Bray, Donald Noe, Debbie Fox, Dr. Robert E. Hasslcr, Dr. Mushtaq H. Khan, Dr. James V. Mulholland, and Rodney R. Pulley, hospital ad ministrator. persons inducted into the North Carolina Journalism Hall of Fame on April 12 at the University of North Carolina at Cnapei Hiii. The hall is sponsored by the univer sity’s Journalism School. Wife of James M. Harper Jr., publisher of tlie Pilot, she edited the paper whiie her husband served in the U.S. Navy. She is better known across the state as a long-time secretary-treasurer of the N.C. Press Association. She has been president of the North Carolina Press Women and the N.C. Babson Sr. of Route 4, Supply, he is a 1988 graduate of West Brunswick High School in Shallotte. Coombes Promoted William D. Coombes, son of retired Chief Warrant Officer William D. and Vergie I. Coombes of Southport, lias been promoted in the U.S. Army to the rank of chief warrant officer three. Seven Recognized Seven Brunswick County students have been recognized for academic achievement during the winter quarter at Southeastern Community College in Wnitevilie.
