Home Show Draws Crowd; Exhibitors Pleased BY SUSAN USHER Products and sendees for the home drew a steady flow of visitors to the second Brunswick hiving Home Show last weekend at the Shallotte N.C. National Guard Annory. An estimated 3,800 persons visited tlie show, according to Nick Newton, spokesman for the South Brunswick Islands Home Builders Association which sponsored the event. Tiiai figure was derived from spot counts with allowances for peak and slow- time periods. He added, "If we’d had more park ing we would have had more atten dance." Forty-six exhibitors participated in this year’s event and Association President John Shannon presented three with plaques for outstanding booths during a preview show Thurs day night, as follows: Intracoastal Services, best of show; Shallotte Electric Supply, best double booth; and Brunswick Electric Membership Corp., best single booth. Newton said exhibitors were very- pleased with the public’s response to their booths. ’’Quite a few have asked for the same space next year and some have asked for double booths that had single booths this year.” Some improvements are already lined up for next year’s show, when outdoor exhibitors' wares will be easier to see with the addition of an outdoor lighting display, he said, and a major landscaping exhibit is plann ed. “We learn something every year," he said.
