The Coppages are happy with their
chdee of Brunswick County for
retirement living.
“We were attracted here by a real
estate ad in the New York Times,”
Channing said. "We came to look and
right away bought a lot There was no
subdivision here, then, just
wilderness and a dirt road.”
But the lot was five minutes from
the beach and had a stunning view of
a lake, so they were quickly sold on
the location.
Now they enjoy more than the
bouse and its view; they are part of a
congenial community. "Most of the
people we know here are imports,
like us," Ruth said.
And, like many of the other “im
ports,” these northerners have
brou^ their distinctive touch to a
southern subdivision home.
