Paul Heaman Keel, 68, of Route 2,
Inland, died May 10 in New Hanover
Memorial Hospital after an extended
illness.
The funeral was held May 14 in the
Wrightsville Avenue Cjhurch of God,
of which he was a member, with Rev.
Floyd E. McComb officiating. Burial
was In Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Bom in Johnston County on OcL 13,
1918, he was the son of the late Robert
Henry and Nina Gough Keel. He was
a retired U.S. Air aircraft mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
Ruth Coates Keel of the home; a son,
Paul Hardy Keel of Beaumont,
Texas; two daughters, Betty Jo
Sellers of Waianae, Hawaii, and Jean
Keel Gigucre of San Jose, Calif.; two
sisters, Maltie Suggs of Ocala, Calif.,
and Mildred Keel Holmes of Waldorf,
Md.; and nine grandchildren.
IRENE D. BRYANT
Irene Denning Bryant, 68, of Long
Beach, died May II in a car accident

She was a native of Goldsboro and
a member of Ocean View United
Methodist Church in Ix>rig Beach.

Robert McNeil McKeithan, 74, of
Route 1, Bolivia, died May 14 at his
residence.
The funeral was held May 16 in the
chapel of Coble Ward-Smith Funeral
Service, Supply, with Rev. Steve
Harvell officiating. Burial was In the
David R. Mercer Cemetery.
Bom in Brunswick County on Aug.
20, 1912, he was the son of the late
David P. and Susie Knox McKeithan.
Prior to his retirement in 1%7, he
was a fleet patrolman with the Wilm
ington Reserve Fleet and a U.S. Ar
my veteran. He owned and operated
McKeithan Farm Equipment Co. in
Bolivia.
Survivors include Iris wife, Mrs.
Elfriede Albrecht McKeithan of the
home; a daughter, Cathy McKeithan
of the home; a son, Frank McKeithan
of Bolivia; a brother, Carl
McKeithan of Bolivia; two sisters,
Judy Bennett of Bolivia and
Catherine Moore of Hayesville; and a
granddaughter.
CORA MAE MURPHY
Cora Mae Murphy, 57, of Yaupon
Beach, died May 14 in Dosher
Memorial Hospital.
The funeral was held May 16 in
Bethel Baptist Church, with Revs.
Joe R. Babb and J. Bryan Dosher ot-
flciating. Burial was in Northwood
Cemetery.
A native of Henderson, she had liv
ed in Yaupon Beach for six years and
was employed with Bums Interna
tional Security Service. She was a
member of North Henderson Baptist
Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs.
Ellen M. Liggon of Henderson and
Mrs. Fannie M. Faulk of Yaupon
Beach; and several nieces and
nephews.
Memorial contributions may be
made to North Henderson Baptist
Church, Long Beach Rescue Squad
or Hospice of the Lower Cape Fear.

Church and Winnabee Masonic

April 3, 1929, the son of the late
George B. and Mattie Batchelor

Slate Yard Sale
The Ladles’ Circles of St.
Brendan's Mission Parish will hold a
yard sale Friday and Saturday, May
22 and 23, beginning at 9 a.m. each
day.
It will be held at SL Brendan Hall,
located on U.5. 17 approximately
miles south of Shallotte.
An abundance of varied and
popular items will be offered for
sale; all proceeds go to the mission’s
church construction fund.

The New Life Church continues its
special ministry to young adults ages
18 and older, married and single, to
day (Thursday) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
with the third In a series of movies on
recognizing cults, ’’Witness of
Jehovah," and a discussion after

Isle and Sunset Beach.
