With Thalian Hall still undergoing
restoration, this season's offerings s
will be presented at either Jake's of I
Jacob's Run or The Community Arts s
Center in Wilmington, with five-day s
runs scheduled. a
The season opens with the musical (
"You're a Good Man, Charlie i
Brown," which depicts an average
day in the life of this popular cartoon
figure and his friends. The show !
plays Oct. 5-9 at Jake's of Jacob's
Run.
Players Schedul
For Rehearsal
The Brunswick Players will hold
auditions Sept. 11 and 12 for "Rehearsal
For Murder," a whodunit with a
surprise ending.
Spokesman Erinn Fitzgerald said
auditions will be held from 12 noon to
2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, and again
from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept.
12, at the N.C. Fourth of July
Building in Southport, adjacent to the
county library.

Jidersen," will run Dec. 7-11 at The 1
Community Arts Center and is based

ningled with Andersen's own life.
"To Kill A Mockingbird," the third
how of the season, is based on the
'ulitzer Prize winning novel. Set in a
imall Southern town in the Depresiion
era, the play explores right and
vrong as seen through the eyes of
children spending an eventful sumner.
It will be presented Feb. 15-19 at
rhe Community Arts Center.
The longest-running mystery in the
history of modern theater, "The
Mousetrap" concerns a group of
strangers stranded in a snow storm,

playright turns up the stagelights
and participants in his latest production
take the stage. But beneath their
light, theatrical talk, tensions mount.
All were involved in the playright's
most recent production as well, when
the playright's fiancee was killed on
opening night.
The play was also presented on the
CBS Golden Showcase, with Robert
Preston and Lynn Redgrave in the
lead roles. The Players' production
"Rehearsal For Murder" will be
presented in November, before
Thanksgiving, at a location to be announced.

first presentation before a Wilmington
audience. The musical takes a

and woman.
Thalian Association is offering
season tickets for the same rates as
last year. Student memberships are
$30: other individuals, $40. Regular
members receive tickets with sixday
advance reservation privileges
