Brigadier General Wallace C. Ar nold, the Commanding General of the First ROTC Region, assured the West Brunswick cadets that he wanted to visit them and see their first-class facility at the earliest op portunity. Next Wednesday, General Arnold will make good on that promise. He will arrive at 9 a.m. and remain on campus through lunch. After a brief office call on Ed Lemon, West Brunswick High principal. Gen. Arnold will be briefed by the cadet battalion staff. During the balance of the morning he will see a drill demonstration, tour the new building and speak to the cadets in classroom #1. Prior to lunch. Gen. Arnold will hold a press conference to give his reaction to the new building. Gen. Arnold is in his third year of commanding the First kClC Region which encompasses all the Senior ROTC units in colleges and Junior ROTC units in high schools from Maine to Florida. He graduated from Hampton In stitute and earned a masters degree GENERAL ARNOLD from George Washington Univers ity as well as attended the the Army's Command and General Staff College and the Naval War College. Gen. Arnold has served in Vietnam, Korea, Okinawa and Eur ope. He has been awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal and Meritorious Service Medal. He earned the Vietnam Service Medal with three Campaign Medals, the Army Service Medal and the Viet nam Campaign Medal. Following his visit to West Brunswick he will travel to Wil mington to the Senior ROTC Bat talion at UNC Wilmington. N.C./S.C.
