Jimison, Brinsfield Vows Spoken
Julie Elizabeth Jimison and
Steven (Steve) Marion Brinsficld
were married at 6 p.m. Dcc. 30 at
Pisgah ARP Church in Gastonia.
Tlie Rev. Necly Gaston performed
the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Kenneth E. Jimison of
Gastonia. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip M. Brinsficld
of Ocean Isle Bcach.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride was attired in a formal
white satin sheath with scalloped
edge lace accented by pearls and iri
dcsccnts. The gown featured a
Queen Ann neckline, a fitted bodice
wiih scrolling pearl accents and a
natural waisUine. The long satin sle
eves were accented with scalloped
lace motifs at the shoulders and a
cathcdrai-iengtli detachable train ac
ccntcd with lace appliques was at
tached to the sheath skirt, both of
which were edged in Schiffli lace.
Her fingertip veil of scallopcd, pen
cil-edged silk illusion was attached
to a crown of imported silk flowers
accented by peail and crystal scroll
work.
She carried a cascading bouquet
of carnations, roses and babies'
breath.
Amanda Jimison of Gastonia was
her sister's maid of honor. Brides
maids were Kathy Shannon, Angela
Humphries, Beverly Frye, Renec
Hamby and Patty Trimmal, all of
Gastonia. Cathrine Hamby of Gas(
tonia was the junior bridesmaid.
The attendants wore identical
floor-length gowns of royal blue
satin with a dropped "V" waist, fab
ric rose accent and three-quarter
length puffed, shirred sleeves.
The groom chose his father as
best man. Ushers were Dale Brins
ficld, Wykc Kivett, Todd Peterson
and Alan Hunt, all of Greensboro,
and Michael Brinsficld of Biloxi,
Miss. Christopher Brinsfield of Bil
oxi was ring bearer.
Following the ceremony the
bride's parents hosted a reception in
Elliott Fellowship Hall at the
church. Mr. and Mrs. John Robin
son and Adam Robinson of Dallas,
N.C., Dr. Janet Johnston and Mrs.
and Mrs. Ernest Barnes, all of Gas
tonia, greeted guests. Serving were
Margaret Grier and Janet horsier of
Gastonia. Juanita Nail of Greens
boro, Joyce Nail of Biscoe and Bet
ty Nail of Smyrna.
Cathy Nail of Stanley and Jen
nifer Nail of Greensboro distributed
wedding programs.
Music by soloists Candace Bo
lynn and Randy Beavers, both of
Gastonia, included "Surely the Pre
sence of the Lord," "Whither Thou
Gocst," and "Wedding Prayer."
They were accompanied by Heley
Foy, organist; and Sharon Carson,
pianist.
The groom's parents hosted the
Dec. 29 rehearsal dinner at the Gas
tonia City Club.

The new Mrs. Jimison was grad
uated from Hunter IIuss High
School in G&stonia, attended N.C.
State University in Raleigh and is a
junior nursing major at UNC-Wil
mington. She was formerly employ
ed as a veterinary technician at
Dickson Animal Clinic, Gastonia.
Her husband was graduated from
Page High School, Greensboro. He
owns Steve's Lawn Care and is a
partner in Unique Cleaning Services
Inc., Ocean Isle Beach.
