VOLUNTEERS FOR RECYCLING staff the group's recycling center
behind the Sunset Beach fire station every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. to assist recyclers. The center is open seven days a week during
daylight hours and accepts bundled or tied newspapers, rinsed alu
minum or steel beer and soda cans, rinsed glass jars and bottles with
no lids, most plastic bottles and jugs including milk, water, motor oil,
window cleaner and soft drink containers.
BOLIVIA VFD AUXILIARY will sell chicken and ham dinners at the
fire station, Danford Road, Bolivia, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Plates cost $3

Students Win District Awards
Three West Brunswick High School students won third-place
awards at the Future Business Leaders of America district com
petition Feb. H in Dunn. Perry Culpepper, !sfi, plscsd third in
business English and Robin Caison took third in advanced key
board applications. Candy Hewett, who is not pictured, took third
place in office procedures. Other West Brunswick students who
competed at the district level were Lori Gor?, Merinda Coleman,
Tamara Marlowe, Kathy Earwood, Rosilind Bryant, Sonya
Burney, Yvonne Stevenson, Sigmond Jenrette, Pam Detrie, Emily
Gore, Robin Hewett and Delena Stout. The three district award
winners will travel to Greensboro March 29 for state competition.
