HEWETT Jessie Bryant, best known locally as president of the Cedar Grove Chapter of the National Associ ation for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will be baptized on the first Sunday of the New Year at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The service, which will take place during the morning worship service, will be led by the Rev. Freeman Gausc, pastor, and officers and members of the church. Friends of Bryant are invited to attend, and other candidates for baptism are wclcome also. Bryant greeted the Rev. Gause and deacons of Cedar Grove in un usual fashion Sunday, Dec. 22, after which minister Levi Grissett an nounced Bryant's decision earlier that day to give his heart and life to his maker, who had given him 68 years of physical life and health. That announcement prompted re joicing among the congregation and special testimony from Bobby John son of Detroit, Mich., son of the late Floyd and Magdeline Johnson. Council Meets At Longwood Mt.
