Clogging Council Inc. will sponsor a "High On The Hog" party Saturday, March 16, at 6 p.m. in the National Guard Armory in Wilmington. There will be exhibitions, request dances, a workshop and competi tion. Hosts for the party will be the Brunswick County Cloggers, Col umbus County Cloggers and Azalea Coast Cloggers. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Larry Wilson of Soulhport. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Taylor of Monroe. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of ivory taffeta. The long-sleeved bodice was adorn ed with Venisc lace and accented with pearls and iridescent sequins. The skirt held a rounded pcplum and chapel train, which was also adorned with Venisc lace accented with pearls and iridescent sequins. The bride chose a cathedral -length veil of silk illusion with a band of pearls and iridescent beads, detailed with malinc leave sprays and lily of the valley framing her face. She carried a cascading bouquet of Royal Delight roses, rosseria as tromcria, white frccsia, stcphanotis and ivory lace ribbons. The bride was honored by two wedding showers. One in Charlotte was hosted by the groom's family. The other, in Soulhport, was hosted by her mother's family. Arts Festival Reset To Friday, March 8 The fifth animal Black Aris Festi val has been rescheduled from Feb. 15 to Friday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Brunswick Community College (BCC). The program was canceled due to inclement weather in counties where performers were traveling from. The festival will feature dramatic, musical and dance. The featured guest artist will be Pamela Rcid, Visiting Artist at Southeastern Com munity College and former BCC Visiting Artist and founder of the festival. Festival Coordinator Joycc Hcw ett said that all of the artists origi nally slated to participate will be performing on March 8. The festival, which will be held in BCC's Student Center, is spon sored by the college and the Bruns wick Arts Council.
