Jordan-Matthews An effective Trojan defense wasn't enough to counter 25 percent shooting from the field as Jordan Matthews got balanced scoring from its starting five players and ended the West Brunswick cage season. . ? _ . , Jets point guard Randall Brittle scored 16 points to lead four Jordan-Matthews players in double figures. . "We did some good things defen sively and forced them (Jordan Matthews) into a number of turn overs," said West Brunswick coach Billy Mims. "We simply could not put the ball in the basket. Jordan Matthews is a good team but our in effective offense couldn't be blamed entirely on their defense." "We played hard but didn't get the balanced scoring we needed against teams in the playoffs. We averaged 72 points per game this season so any urnc iccc^ uur poncnt under 60 points we've got to feel good. As a team, we just didn't rise to the occasion." Daniels led the way in his final game in a Trojan uniform with 28 points and 15 rebounds. "We had some players who weren't holding up their end of gameplan and we talked about it at halftime. We came out in the second half ready to play and by the final quarter we really looked good."
