?? Felix , Robinson Are Wed Melinda M. Felix and Robert K. Robinson, both of H olden Beach, were married Saturday, April 20, at the home of the groom. The bride is the daughter of Evelyn Felix of Williamsport, Pa., and the late Carl F. Felix. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.P. Robinson of Holden Beach. The couple is residing at Holden Beach. K / To Wed June 8 i Jimmy and Prudy Robinson of Holden Beach have announced the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lisa, to Dave Andrews, son of Larry and Janice Andrews of Ash. The wedding will be Sat urday, June 8, at 3 p.m. at Sabbath Home Baptist Church, Holden Beach. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Friends and relatives are invited. Piver, Williamson Exchange Vows At Whiteville Church Donna Jane Piver and Ronald Dean Williamson, both of Supply, were married April 21 at New Hope Baptist Church, Whitevillc. The Rev. Benny E. Pledger offi ciated the double ring ceremony. Thomas McLam, pianist, and Tracy Inman, soloist, both of Whiteville, provided wedding music. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Piver of White ville. The groom is the son of Clyde A. Williamson of Nakina and the late Gloria Dean Williamson of Supply. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Hcwett of Supply. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of bridal satin. It was designed with a sweetheart ncckline enhanced with re-embroi dcred lace, hand-beaded sequins and pearls. Puff sleeves of Schiffli lace were scattered with irridescent sequins and the fitted basque bodice was accented with lace motifs hand beaded with sparkle sequins and pearls and a satin bow at the back of the waistline. The full skirt was em bellished with a Schiffli lace medal lion with sparkle sequins. Venice lace edged the hemline and decorat ed the cathedral train, along with re embroidered lace motifs. Her veil of sheer illusion was at tached with a halo of hand-beaded sequins and pearls. She carried a bouquet of white and peach roses. Debra P. High of Palm Harbour, Fla., was her sister's matron of hon or. Bridesmaids were Angela M. Phelps of Supply; Kathy A. Piver of Lake Waccamaw, sister-in-law of the bride; and Wanda P. Clemmons of Chadbourn, sister of the bride. They wore two-piece floor-length suits of teal taffeta, with matching rhinestone earrings, and carried bouquets of peach roses. The groom's father was best man. Groomsmen were Glen A. Phelps and Randy K. Williamson, brother of the groom, both of Supply, and Ryan K. Williamson of Nakina, brother of the groom. Elizabeth A. Robinson of Win nabow attended the guest register. The bride's parents hosted a re ception in the church fellowship hall immediately after the ceremony. The bride graduated from White ville High School in 1987 and Bruns wick Community College in 1990. She is employed by The Brunswick Hospital at Supply. The groom graduated from Bruns wick Community College in 1989 and is employed with builder Don Clemmons, Holden Beach. The newlyweds are residing in Supply. Prior to the wedding the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner April 20 at C & B Restaurant in Na kina, Laye Gore of Sunset Beach gave a bridal shower March 23 and Angie Phelps, Wanda Clemmons and Kathy Piver gave a bridal show er April 6 in Whiteville. RONALD DEAN WILUAMSON ...Donna Jane Piver Donation Of Book Honors Clemmons A book was donated to the Brunswick County Board of Educa tion's central office library Monday in memory of former school board member James "Jimbo" Clemmons. J. Davis "Davey" Pierce of Southport presented A Children's Chorus: The 10 Rights of the Child on behalf of the Brunswick County Concerned Taxpayers, of which he is secretary. It is to be available for use by school system personnel and the public. Clemmons, who died in March, was a longtime Brunswick County educator. He retired as principal of Lincoln Primary, then served two terms on the school board. He was defeated for re-election to a third term last November by Re publican challenger Yvonne Bright, who is serving her first term on the board. "He taught us the necessity of ed ucation; not just an education, but the best that we can provide...," said Pierce. Storytellers Offer Tales For Listeners Of All Ages Like to hear a good story told well? That's what listeners can cxpcct at storytelling festivals scheduled next week at all three locations of the Brunswick County Library. Patricia McLean of Greensboro, a professional storyteller and cre ative dramatist, will be featured during three days of storytelling, "sand wiched" between local storytellers in a three-hour program each day. Storytellers will spark listeners' imaginations Monday, May 13, at the West Brunswick Branch Library in Shallotte, with sessions at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. The program will be repeated Wednesday, May 15, at the main library in Southport, and Friday, May 17, at the Leland Branch. Listeners arc encouraged to provide their own seating, bringing a blanket or a lawn chair, said Felccia Hardy, West Brunswick branch su pervisor. The program will be entertaining for all ages. McLean's appearance is made possible through a Grassroots Arts grant from the Brunswick County Arts Council. North Brunswick ROCAME Wins Quiz Bowl Competition Junior and senior quiz bowl teams from the North Brunswick ROCAME chapter won the county ROCAME quiz bowl competition Thursday, April 18. ROCAME is the acronym for Region 'O" Council for the Ad vancement of Minorities in Engine ering. This is the fourth year teams from the North Brunswick atten dance district have won in competi tion with teams representing the West and South chapters.
