CEDAR GROVE AREA NFWS Senior Has Career In Mind BY BARBARA T. HEWKTT Takila Morgan can be seen on what would be considered a typical school day observing a physical thera pist, Marit Ul rich, using ultra sound to check an accident vic tim, soothing the hurts of a six month-old baby who was accidentally burned, or bathing the feet of a chronically ill senior cili/cn. Then, if the timing is right, you will see her being observed and coachcd while she performs these safe life-restoring actions. When asked if she is part of the staff at The Brunswick Hospital, Takila politely replies, with a smile, "I am a student of West Brunswick High School in my senior year and 1 will pursue a career in physical thcr apy." This soft-spoken young lady is the daughter of the late Burgess and Alicc Morgan of Cedar Grove com munity. She's also another example of a productive and industrious genera tion of vonth emerging in the com munity Could it be that this new genera tion will serve as role models to get back a recent generation that brought more negative vibrations than the community had ever known in its 120-year history? Hats OITTo Rich, Again Richard Bernard, better known to his peers and many adults as "Rich," seems to like milking his parents and community feel prouil of his accom plishments. His latest achievement is winning second place in the annual talent competition at Shallotte Middle School.
