successfully maintain control of this
problem. The cost is $15 a week

It's A Seat Belt Check
Student Government Association and Students Against Drunk Drivers members at West Brunswick
High School were joined by N.C. Highway I'atrol J.II. Kerr last Thursday in checking seat belts as stu
dents left the school parking lot. i'.ach driver wearing a belt received a Hershey's kiss; those not re
ceived a "Dum-Dum" lollipop and a message encouraging them to get smart and use their seat belt.
Above, driver Monckia Cause gets a "kiss" from inspector Ixiurinda llill, while in the background
Ixiurel Keesee checks a vehicle. Of the 150 or more vehicles checked, said SCA President Jason
Benton, all but a few drivers were wearing their belts. "This was a good idea," said Trooper Kerr. "You
never know if the person you talked to today might be in an accident next week and not be injured be
cause they wore a seat belt."
