?HCT 4 xr Vows Exchanged Feb. 26 Janice Michelle Harris of Supply and Ronald Dwayne Hicks of Shallotle were married Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. in a double-ring ceremony at the Brunswick County Courthouse at Bolivia. The bride is the daughter of Janice llargis of Supply and Jerry Hargis of Ash. The groom is the son of Ron Hicks of Shallotte and Anita Dorsett of North Wilkesboro. Egg Hunt, Arts, Rafting On Department Agenda A spring egg hunt, aftcr-school arts program and whitcwatcr rafting trip are ahead for the Brunswick County Parks and Recreation De partment. The egg hunt is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 4, at the Bruns wick County Government Complex in Bolivia. Participants should meet at the public assembly building and bring their own baskets. The hunt is open to all county youths and visitors 9 and younger. An after-school arts program is scheduled for Tuesday, April 6, at the Shallotte Library; Wednesday, April 7, at the Southport Library; and Thursday, April 8, at the Lcland Library. All three will take place from 4 until 5 p.m. The program is open to all 6-13 year-olds, and all materials will be provided. There is no fee and prc registration is not required. A whitcwatcr rafting trip to the Chattooga River Section IV will uike place May 27-30. This pari of the riv er offers class 3-5 whitcwatcr rapids. The program will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the council's office in Supply. The free session is open to all in terested persons, with no experience required, said Jennifer Ficllman, a VISTA with the literacy council. The information shared would be useful to school volunteers, parents and grandparents, or others who en joy reading aloud or telling stories. On Monday, March 29, a teachers' workday, Steve Myott returns to Brunswick County to lead a work shop on storytelling for youngsters in kindergarten through fourth grades. The session will be held from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the West Bruns wick Branch Library in Shallottc and is sponsored by the Brunswick County Parks and Recreation De partment. Myott, a resident of Wilmington, has done numerous creative dramat ics workshops for children in Bruns wick County.
