Nifty Niners Members of the Carolina Shores Nifty Niners competed for low gross, low net and low putts last Thursday at Brierwood and Ocean Isle Beach golf courses. Top finisher: at Ocean Isle Beach included Edna O'Connel! with the low gross of 61 and low net of 29. Chris Alcorn had the second low gross with 61, edging Charlotte Martin on a match of cards. Dot Mc Alcer shot 62. First runner-up in the low net di vision was Martha Mullis with 34. Brierwood Ladies Joanna Lang had 42 points to lead the first flight in the Brierwood Ladies Golf Association points tour namcnt last Tuesday. Golfers received four points for eagle, three for birdie, two for par and one for bogey. Nancy Bouldin and Lois Beato tied for second in the top flight with 40 points each. Ann Hierman was third with 30 points, and Hilda Hall had low putts with 29. In the second flight, Pat O'Con nell was first with 43 points.
