Runncrs-up included Augic Doug lass wn.i a 61, Dick Worlcy with 63, Frank Scaboldt with 65 and Lynn Slimmer with 68. Howard Van Dusen and Dutch Gccscy lied for sixth with rounds of 69. Tied for eighth with net 70s were Dick Ikeda and Roger Young. George Bccrman placed lOtli with a 71. Don Lowery had low pulls for the tournament with 24. Carolina Shores Ladies The Carolina Shores Ladies Golf Association recognized winners on the front nine, back nine and overall in its Nassau tournament last Thursday al Colonial Charters. In the first flight, Ginny Dor shimcr was the overall winner with a round of net 65. Betty Kibblchouse shol 33.5 on the front nine, and Ginnie Dcrrickson had a 32 on the back nine. Lois Giamalva was the overall winner in the sccond flight with a net 62. Inky Remais led the front nine with a 33, and Dolly Mott won the back nine with a score of 26.5. Third flight winners included Helen Marsh with a 32.5 on the front nine and Louise Oldman with a 33 on the back nine. Gerry Burdick was the overall winner with a round of 69. Top finishers in the fourth flight were Cissy Fleming with a 33 on the front nine, Sue Bacr with a 37 on the Golfing '] Action a back nine and Dot Russo with a 65 overall. Literacy Council Sets Tourney The Brunswick County Literacy Council will sponsor a captain's choice golf tournament Sunday, June 13, at Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club at Calabash. There will be a men's division and a mixed or ladies division. The entry fee is S30 per person, and tee times will be available from 11:30 a.m. until 1:37 p.m. The entry fee covers green and cart fees, prizes and refreshments.
