Births Are Announced Frink Dennis and Ilcne Frink of Shal louc have announced the birth of a daughter, Lakcala Nanyumka Frink. She arrived at 10:09 p.m. May 12 at The Brunswick Hospital. Lakcala weighed 6 pounds, 5.5 ounces and was 17 1/2 inches long. She joins two siblings, Roberto and Eboni Frink. Her grandparents are Rachcl Frink of Grissettown and Marion and Inis Zimmerman of Decatur, Ga. l.B. Hood of Atlanta, Ga., is her great-grandmother. King Forrest and Suzy King of Calabash have announced the birth of a daughter, Katie Van Duyn King. She arrived at The Brunswick Hospital at 2*38 am. May 16, weighing 8 pounds, 1 ouncc, and measuring 20 inches. Katie joins a brother, Jordan Forrest. IJUiRY DAIJZ DeSTEFANO JR. ..-Ashley Regina Reaves Celebration Sunday Will Mark Camp Re-Opening A grand opening ceremony Sun day, June 6, will mark the return 10 use of Camp Pretty Pond at Boiling Spring Lakes as a residential camp ing facility for Girl Scouts in 25 eastern North Carolina counties. A ribbon cutting is set for 2 p.m., while the camp will be open for tours and a reception from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. All area Girl Scouts have been invited to attend. The Girl Scout Council of Coastal Carolina, Inc., has just completed the first phase of a SI.6 million re development project to create a modem residential camping facility that will serve more than 13,00() Girl Scouts. The camp is being reno vated to serve 100 girls plus staff throughout the summer, with addi tional facilities to serve the year round program and training needs of area scout troops and leaders. Camp Pretty Pond, which hadn't been used as a residential camp since 1980, will now serve as the council's pri mary residential camping site. When completed, the camp will become a sports-oriented facility that utilizes a beautiful 100-acrc wooded landscape and 40-acre pond. Activities provided will in clude archery, swimming, soccer, softball, tennis, horseback riding, basketball, volleyball, canoeing and camping. The camp will be com pletely handicapped acccssible, in cluding a paved path that spans the length of the camp. The bridegroom is the son of Larry D. and Laura Haley DcStefano of Stanbury Road, Supply. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white Shantung silk gown with heavily-beaded bo dice of seed pearls and irridcsccnt appliques, long sleeves and a bautcau nccklinc. Her semi-cathe dral train was adorned with appl iques and featured a pcplum bow. She carried a hand-tied arm bou quet of trumpet lily, gladiolas, freesia, liatrice, tiger lily and white roses with a tulle bow and silk rib bon. Matron of honor was Heather R. Willard, sister of the bride. Brides maids included Tammy Pickard and Natasha Robinson of Supply, Christa Fowler of Ccrro Gordo, Hanna Monds of Lack Waccamaw and Delores Inman of Ocean Isle Beach. Flower girls were Bethany Hobbs and Briana Gunthcr. The attendants wore fuschia Shantung silk two-piece off-shoul dcr suits with peplum accented with pearl and rhincstone buttons and straight tea-length skirts. The junior bridesmaids wore fuschia Shantung silk tea-length dresses with full skirts and shoulder-skimming neck lines. The flower girls wore fuschia Shantung silk full-length dresses with hand-crocheted lace edging. Best man was Danny Robinson of Holdcn Bcach. Ushers included Chris Tyndall, James McDonald and Scott Powers of Holden Bcach, Cory Reaves of Holdcn Beach, brother of the bride; and Chaunccy Willard of Holdcn Bcach, brother in-law of the bride. Ringbearer was Alex Willard, the bride's nephew. A reception in the church fellow ship hall followed the ceremony. After a wedding trip to Frccport in the Bahamas, the couple will live at Holdcn Bcach. The bride and groom are both graduates of West Brunswick High School. The bride, also a graduate of Pembroke State University, is em ployed by Applied Analytical Industries, Inc. The groom is em ployed by RACO Inc. After all these years, you're still a 'Perfect 10.'
