REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
SLUDGE HAULING AND DISPOSAL
The Town of Yaupon Beach hereby requests the proposals from
licensed firms for the removal, hauling and disposal of aerobi
cally digested sludge from the Town's wastewater facility located
on Fish Factory Road near Southport, N.C. Tne Town estimates
that some 30,000 gallons of sludge per month will be produced
at an average of 2.5% solids. The proposals should be based on
this volume with a proposed cost per 1000 gallons given. The
Town's plant will begin operation in August, 1993. Sludge remov
al should begin by September 1,1993.
The Town intends to award a one year contract with annual re
newals for the sludge disposal service. Proposals shall include
the following information:
1. Proposer's license's number and copy of permit for
proposed disposal site.
2. List of other facilities for which proposer provides
sludge disposal service.
3. Cost of proposer's service per 1000 gallons of sludge,
said costs to include all labor and material to remove
the sludge from the Town's facility, transport to the
proposer's site and dispose of the sludge on-site in
accordance with proposer's permit and all applicable
regulations of local, state, and federal agencies.
Proposals will be received at the Yaupon Beach Town Hall until
4:30 p.m. June 30, 1993. Award will be made to the lowest res
ponsive responsible bidder.
