Hammond-Lyles Wedding
Is Celebrated In Marshville
Deanna Carole Hammond of
Wingate became ihc bride of Wil
liam Warren Lyles of Kinston in a 4
p.m. ceremony June 19 al Cen
terview Baptist Church of Marsh
ville. The Rev. Joseph Stroud per
formed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Jimmy M. Austin of
Wingate. The bridegroom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Homer J. Lyles of
(iixtsccreek Road. Shallotte.
The bride was given in marriage
by her parents. Her gown was a
sheath of ivory satin with Alcncon
lace overlay. It was designed with
sheer illusion yoke featuring a wed
ding band collar of imported lace.
The waist and hem were trimmed
with Venice lace, and the bodice was
adorned with pearls. Lace gauntlets
completed the gown.
Her elbow-length veil of ivory il
lusion was accented with a small
pouf and was scattered with pearls
and held by a halo of braided satin
and pearls. She carried a bouquet of
stargazer lilies and bridal roses ac
cented with bear grass and fern.
Maid of honor was Tiffany
Austin, the bride's sister. Maid of
honor was Laurie Lowell of Atlanta.
Bridesmaids were Katherine Lyles
of Wilmington, sister of the groom,
and Sarah Prcsson of Monroe,
cousin of the bride.
The attendants wore two-piece
tea-length gowns of black bcngaline
styled with rounded necks and ac
cented with ivory lace overlays, V
backs. fitted waists ending in gradu
ated pcplins. and straight skirts.
Best man was Stephen Lylcs of
Shallotte. the groom's brother. Ush
ers were Jay Dowcll of Greenville.

The bride is a 1987 graduate of
Forest HilK High School and a 1991
graduate of Western Carolina Uni
versity. She has been employed by
the Anson County Schools.

University. She is employed by
Millpower-CFD of Kinston.
The couple will live in Kinston.
