STEVE MARION NORR1S ...Patti I j Muriel He well Hewett, Norris Are Married Patii Lc Muriel Hcwett and Steve Marion Norris were married Satur day, June 26, at Sharon United Met hodist Church in Supply. The Rev. Dan Norman officiated the double-ring ceremony. Music was provided by Rodney Williams and Ricky Tompkins. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Minor Hcwett of Shallottc. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mcndal Norris of Hickmans Crossroads. The bride, presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore an ivory sheath gown featuring a fitted basque bodice with a Victorian neckline and long ta pered sleeves. The bodice was embellished with hand beading on schiffli lace ap pliques. The detachable train was en hanced by a crystal pleated sunburst and hand beading on schiffli lace. For her headpiece, the bride chose a cluster of rosettes accented with lilies of the valley attached to shoul der-length illusion. Connie Powell served as matron of honor. Frank Norris served as his broth er's best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brothers, Phil Norris and Edson Norris, and the bride's broth er, Timothy Hewctt. Weston Evans was ring bearer. The wedding was directed by Jo juan Somersett. Following the ceremony, a recep tion was hosted by the bride's par ents at the Lockwood Folly Golf Links clubhouse. The groom's par ents hosted a rchearsaJ dinner at Fol ly's Restaurant. The couple was honored with a shower at the Oak Grove Church fellowship hall hosted by Donnic McCall and Ginny Hewctt. Connie Powell hosted a bridal luncheon shower at Piper's Restaurant. Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Hewctt hosted a barbecue at their home in Riverside in honor of the couple. A bridal shower was given by Diane Tompkins and Sandy Norris at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church. Following a honeymoon trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple arc re siding in Supply. Plans Announced Sylvia Gaile race of Ash and William Gregg Warren of Ash have announced the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Regina Gaile Warren, to William Alan King. He is the son of Marie lnman King of Ash and the late Rev. Talmadge Nelson King. The couple will be married Saturday, July 31, at 6 p.m. in New Hritton Baptist Church, ash, with a reception afterward in the fellowship hall. Invitations are being sent; however, all friends and relatives of the couple are invited. Shriners Offer 'Midweek Escape' Habib Temple No. 159 of Wilm ington is sponsoring a "midweek es cape" trip to Atlantic City, N.J., Sept. 14-16, the week of the Miss America Pageant. The Temple is a Shriners' organi zation with membership from New Hanover and surrounding counties.
