Milligan Is Page
Blair Milligan of Ash recently
served as a page in the N.C. House
of Representatives.
Pages assist members of the
House during committee debates
and floor sessions. Milligan was

Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer
Raymond L. Gregory is currently
assigned to the Electronic Warfare
Operational Programming Facility
in Chesapeake. Va., and contributed
to the Naval Warfare Tactical Data
base recently receiving ihc Gold
Nugget Award.
The Gold Nugget Award is the
Pentagon's highest information sys
tems honor and recognizes excel
lence, innovation and creativity in
information management.
As a member of the programming
facility, Gregory assisted in cstab
the pcrfomiancc of their duties on
behalf of the Army," according to a
news release.
Gore, an aircraft armament/mis
sile systems mechanic, is the daugh
ter of Gcrtnul G. Freeman of
Bricklanding Road and the grand
daughter of Edna E. Gore of Route
9, Shallottc.
She is a 1982 graduate of West
Brunswick High School.
With Roosevelt Group
Navy Airman Recruit Kareen M.
Wadell is currently deployed with
Strike Fighter Squadron 15, Naval
Air Station Cecil Field, Jacksonville,
Fla., as part of the aircraft earner
USS Theodore Roosevelt Baltic

Mediterranean from the Red Sea

1990 graduate of North Brunswick
High School and joined the Navy in

Workshops Set
The Brunswick County Literacy
Council will sponsor tutor-training
workshops for the Ash, Litdc Prong
and Longwood areas of the county
on Saturday, Aug. 14, and Saturday,
Aug. 21, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
each day.
The free training will be held in
the cafeteria building next to the
Little Prong Missionary Baptist
Church.
Participants must attend both days
to become certified Laubach tutors.
Refreshments will be provided, but
participants should bring a bag
lunch for each day.

Zoller is aboard the aircraft carrier
USS Abraham Lincoln, homeportcd
in Alameda, Calif., on a six-rnonlh
western Pacific, Indian Ocean and
Persian Gulf deployment.
Zoller is the son of Patricia A.
McGinnis of Palmetto Road, South
port.
His ship is the leader in a battle
group which includes three cruisers,
two frigates, a submarine and two
replenishment ships. It will operate
with Carrier Air Wing 1 1 , consisting
of eight squadrons with its 85 air
craft.
Zoller visited Hong Kong, where
crewmen from his ship conducted
several community relations projects.
The 1990 graduate of John T.
Hoggard High School of Wilmington
joined the Navy in May 1992.
