Happy Birthday Anthony Sierra Q m, Love-Mom & Daddy, Grandmas & Uncle Joe Hart, Hays Exchange Vows In St. Philip's Episcopal Ronic MeShellc Hart of South port and James Austin Hays of Ashcvillc were married June 19 in a 3 p.m. double-ring ceremony in St. Philip's Episcopal Church in South port. The Rev. Frank Ross and the Rev. Maxinc Maddox were the cele brants. Anna Powell served as acolyte and Gcno Hart, brother of the bride, was lay reader. Music was provided by Daniel Nichols of Durham, vocalist; Debo rah Skillman, organist; and Steve Skillman, horn player. The bride is the daughter of Gene and Marie Hart of Southport. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992 with a degree in middle grades education. The groom is the son of Pal and Patty Hays of Albemarle. A 1992 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he has a de gree in radio, television and motion pictures. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white brocade gown with a scalloped Sabrina neck line, scalloped V-back, princcss style waistline and short Juliet sleeves. The chapel-length train was accented with bows. Her fingertip length veil and blusher with pearl dusters were attached to a pearl-ac cented Juliet cap, designed and fash ioned by her mother. She carried a cascade of white roses, gardenias, siephanotis and or chids with miniature ivy. The bride was attended by her sis ters, Millie Hart Strickland of South port, honor attendant, and Tina Marie Hart, maid of honor. They wore identical tea-length gowns of emerald green satin with a scalloped nccklinc and scalloped V-back. Elizabeth Strickland, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Blake Elkins, a cousin of the groom, was ringbear er. The groom's father was his best man, and Larry Hays of Chapel Hill was his groomsman. Ushers were Chip Taylor of Albemarle and John Bramlett of Columbia, S.C., friends of the groom. Col. William Boyd and Miss Brooke Boyd greeted guests at the reception, which was held in the Southport Community Building fol lowing the wedding.
