Man Wanted In Maryland Gets Two Years For Sunset Beach Car Theft Uss than a week afier he was ar rested on charges of stealing a car in Sunset Beach, a man wanted on drug charges m Maryland was sen tenced to two years in prison "n Brunswick County District Court af ter pleading guilty Thursday (Sen, 9) to misdemeanor larceny and dn ving while impaired. Allen Kenneth Simmons }| ,,f Magnolia Drive, Sunset Beach was apprehended by SBPD Sut I ?<, Massey Sept. 3 shortly after 11 :3o p.m., when a woman reported the Ihrfl of a 1992 Lincoln SJ5 Irom her home on Shoreline Drive Massey Charged S.mmons with felony larceny, DWI. driving with out a license and possession of druc paraphernalia. A records check indi cated that Simmons was wanted in Baltimore on drug charges, accord ing to Sunset Beach Police Chi?-f J.B. Buell. IU As part of a plea bargaining ar rangement, two charges were drop ped in exchange for Simmons' guilty plea to DWI and the misde meanor charge of larceny. Judge Napoleon Barefoot consolidated the cases for judgment and sentenced him to two years in prison Barefoot presided over two days of district court in Bolivia last week while Judge Jerry Jolly heard cases Thursday. Assistant District Attor ney Lillian Salcines prosecuted luesday and Wednesday, and prose cutor Rick Green presented the states evidence Thursday. Marie Jordan served as court clerk throughout the session. Other defendants who appeared in court last week, with their charges pleas and judgments include: ' Paul Allen III. larceny, voluntarily dismissed at request of plaintiff. Cook, two counts of simple assault, consolidated judg ment, Brunswick County Jail 30 days, suspended sentence two years, assessment from mental health with in 30 days concerning any psycho logical, costs, $15 restitution to Mr. Cook, $15 restitution to Ms. Dobbs, not go back, communicate with, as sault, harass or threaten plaintiffs for two years except for exchanging children in a civil action for visita tion. Henry Clay Crisco Jr., breaking ancvor entering, voluntarily dis missed; misdemeanor larceny, N.C.
